The LSE Department of Psychological and Behavioural Science is recruiting for a research-and-teaching position in the MSc in Societal and Environmental Psychology.
The role (Assistant Professor, £68k+) focuses on qualitative research and teaching, with an emphasis on mixed-methods training. It is particularly suited to scholars with experience in both qualitative and quantitative approaches, reflecting the programme’s commitment to research that moves “from the field to the lab and back.”
The position aligns with emerging work in social, environmental, and consumer psychology that uses innovative qualitative methods, including participatory action research, video ethnography, photo elicitation, netnography, sentiment analysis, and large-scale text analysis, including the use of AI models. These approaches are increasingly important for addressing limitations associated with traditional experimental and survey-based methods.
